Christmas Remembrance 2010
On December 18, I visted the Ardennes and Henri-Chapelle American World War II cemeteries accompanied by
three friends. Martijn van Haren, his twin brother Jasper van Haren and Roel Manders. We went to the cemeteries
to place wreaths, flowers and other ornaments for Christmas at our adopted graves. Together we had to visit close
to 40 graves.
It was a cold and windy day, fresh snow covered the cemeteries and we were motivated to make it a great day!
Below you see a couple of pictures from my adopted graves at Henri-Chapelle war cemetery. On the right you see a
picture of Martijn’s website ‘Faces beyond the graves’. To see his website and his adopted graves, click on the picture.
